Inflation Calculator — Money Value Over Time
This tool calculates the equivalent value of any amount between two years based on the annual inflation rate, and shows how purchasing power erodes over time.
How is inflation calculated?
Formula: Equivalent Value = Amount × (1 + Inflation Rate)^Years
- Example: $1,000 in 2000 at 3.1% inflation equals about $2,100 in 2025
- High inflation countries (Turkey, Egypt) erode purchasing power much faster
- Gulf countries historically average less than 3% annual inflation
