How does the due date calculator work?
The calculation is based on Naegele's Rule: add 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your last menstrual period, adjusted for cycle length.
Formula
EDD = LMP + 280 days + (cycle length − 28)
Pregnancy Trimesters
- 1st Trimester (weeks 1–13): Formation of essential organs.
- 2nd Trimester (weeks 14–26): Fetal growth, possible gender identification.
- 3rd Trimester (weeks 27–40): Full maturation and birth preparation.
